The Robotics Engineering Department at Heriot-Watt University is conducting the Robotics Competition.
The competition is open to high school students from grades 10 -12. This is an exciting and great opportunity to showcase creativity and innovative skills. E- Certificates will be awarded to all participants.
Competition Guidelines
The competition is open to grades 10, 11, 12.
Group members can be a mix of grades 10, 11, 12.
Students are to work in groups of 3 or 4.
The last day of registration is on the 22nd of May 2023.
Online registration is compulsory.
Students must register individually and include their team’s name.
Heriot-Watt University will provide robotics kits for all participating groups to build.
All participating groups should attend the Training, Competition and Judging on Saturday the 27th of May 2023 at Heriot-Watt University Dubai Campus.

Submission Guidelines Training – 1. Participating groups will receive training at Heriot-Watt University Dubai Campus on the 27th of May 2023 from 10am. 2. Competition After the training teams are required to develop robotic systems as per the training conducted. 3. Teams will be given 3 hours to complete the design of the robotics system. 4. Judging – The teams will be judged by a panel of judges and the winners will be selected. Late submissions will not be accepted.
Prizes The winners of the competition will be awarded the following prizes: 1st Prize – AED1,500 Gift Voucher + 50% Scholarship to study the BEng (Hons) Robotics, Autonomous and Interactive Systems programme at Heriot-Watt University, Dubai
2nd Prize – AED1,000 Gift Voucher + 30% Scholarship to study the BEng (Hons) Robotics, Autonomous and Interactive Systems programme at Heriot-Watt University, Dubai
3rd Prize – AED500 Gift Voucher + 20% Scholarship to study the BEng (Hons) Robotics, Autonomous and Interactive Systems programme at Heriot-Watt University, Dubai
