Institution of Civil Engineers Student Chapter at the School of Engineering and IT, MAHE Dubai is pleased to announce CIVIL O’POLY, an Engineering challenge inspired by the classic game, MONOPOLY. The challenge invites students from Grade 9/Year 10 and above, who are interested in STEM from schools across UAE to come together and display their skills in STEM thinking, creativity, and construction.
The challenge features three stages or rounds.
Crack the Code Round: Students are given clues to unlock a Passcode to win the PASS CARD which takes them to the next round.
Civil O’ Poly Board: The life size board game whose design is inspired by Monopoly. The board is filled with many STEM and engineering challenges for students.
Construction Site: Students are given materials to construct tallest towers with limited resources in limited time. The available resources and time is earned from Stage 2: Civil O’ Poly board.
The challenge will give students a platform to showcase their knowledge of STEM, agility and quick-thinking ability, leadership skills as well as team work.
Last date to register for all events is May 15th 2023. The registration details, challenge brief, rules and regulations can be found in the Link Here. Any school student may participate in the event and it is not restricted to students of STEM.
Awards: Top two teams will receive Manipal Scholarship, Trophies, Winner Certificate, and exciting ICE prizes. All students will receive participation certificate.
