The School of Media and Communication has announced the fourth edition of White Oryx International Short (WOIS) Film Fest scheduled to be held in May 2023.
To kick start this edition, they are holding a Photo Story Competition ‘Tasweer Tales’ for school and university students. The theme of this competition is ‘Colors of the UAE’ commemorating the 51st UAE national day.
There are three categories in the competition and two of them for school students:
Light it up! - The melody of color (13-15 years)
The Art of Culture-Color speaks all languages (16-17 years)
Diversity & Plurality-Live colorfully! (18-25 years)

The WOIS film festival is a platform for budding and amateur filmmakers around the world to showcase their work. The festival continues to nurture local, regional, and global talent in the world of short film making. In the past edition held in December 2021, the event received over 5000 short films from all over the world.
