Heriot-Watt University has developed a series of “Engineer for a Day” workshops to give participants an opportunity to explore various engineering disciplines (Mechanical, Energy, Automotive, Civil, Architectural, Chemical, Electrical and Electronic, Robotics, Autonomous and Interactive Systems).
Our next Engineering workshop will be the ' Net Zero Engineer for a Day'. You will learn about scientific principles in building design and sustainable living and how to increase sustainability, safety, and comfort by designing structures that meet the changing needs of society. Get insights into the challenges and solutions associated with Architectural engineering and develop a suitable solution as an Energy Engineer by designing your own Solar Energy System accounting for the local climate conditions, predicting the energy yield of the system and even estimating the financial viability of the design.
